About

My name is Stephanie Badillo and I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to advocate for women and infant health through the fascinating art of lactation and breastfeeding management. As a mother of 5 and more than twenty years of experience, I am prepared to rush to the aid of any family in need. I have a knack for giving clear and accurate direction in whatever situation you may find yourself.

As an Independent IBCLC I am able to assist mothers and families privately in their homes, over the phone or computer, and bedside in the hospital any time of the day or night. One of the most incredible and miraculous things about being a woman is our ability to grow a human life inside our bodies, then nourish them with our breasts. It’s rarely easy and takes a lot of practice, with tips and tricks to get the baby properly fed. I have personally navigated the NICU with my first born as he came 11 weeks prematurely. I have exclusively breastfed, used supplemental feeding systems, and bottle fed with both expressed breastmilk and formula. I know how it feels when the baby isn’t latched properly and how quickly breastfeeding can go wrong. I have experienced engorgement, breast infections, critical dips in supply, lactation suppression, and had to pack that breast pump to return to work. I understand the difficulties of being a stay-at-home mom and also the need to work outside the home while your baby is away from you. I have a unique perspective and recognized years ago that I have an obligation to share what I have learned to ease the suffering of others.

What I have learned the most through my years of experience and career in the medical profession is that we can prepare for breastfeeding and making milk to nourish our newborn regardless of the birth outcome or future plans. I believe mothers and fathers who become educated through my prenatal breastfeeding course will know how to make informed decisions about their infants feeding needs. I know how to prepare families before and after birth with proven lactation support and breastfeeding management. I also know about emergency triage when things take an unexpected turn. There will never be an hour of the day where I am unable to come to the aid of a mother and infant in need. I will always strive to encourage and equip mothers and families with the ability to make well informed decisions. No one should struggle in silence, fight through pain or feel alone when they have someone like me in their corner. I made a promise to myself and those who helped me that I would never stop teaching mothers how to be confident, strong, and healthy. I am always honest and professional; delivering the most appropriate and detailed care plans to meet the intended outcome for the health of my clients and patients. You can count on me to become your breast friend because I have walked in new and uncomfortable shoes many times, just like the ones you may find yourself in. There is an art and technique to breastfeeding and making milk that takes years of personal and professional experience to understand. It is my honor and pleasure to be in a place to assist families in all lactation situations.
