My name is Stephanie Badillo and I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant nearly ten years ago to advocate for women and infant health through the fascinating art of lactation and breastfeeding management. As a mother of 5 with more than twenty four years of experience, I am prepared to rush to the aid of any family in need.
As an Independent IBCLC I assist families privately in their homes, over the phone, virtually, and bedside in the hospital any time of the day or night. Making milk and building a healthy supply takes several days and weeks while hormones are changing and baby is learning how to latch and transfer milk at the breast. I’m also a real mom who has navigated the NICU, exclusively breastfed, used supplemental feeding systems, bottle fed with both expressed breastmilk and formula. I know how it looks and feels when the baby isn’t latched properly and how quickly nipple damage happens and breastfeeding can go wrong. I help prevent and triage engorgement, nipple trauma, breast infections, low supply, and oversupply.
I have a fun sense of humor, straight forward approach and have been recognized as a leading Lactation Consultant in San Diego County for several years.
